Application of infiltration intake technology to seawater-source heat pump systems

With a project example, analyses the technical and economic performance of this system. The results show that the infiltration intake system can provide the seawater with better water quality and lower water temperature in summer or higher water temperature in winter, and that the seawater-source heat pump (SWHP) air conditioning system with the infiltration intake system is prior to the SWHP air conditioning system direct using surface seawater and conventional chiller plus municipal heat network system in both initial investment and operation costs.
